ROCK N ROLL NERD (M)15+
A couple of months ago, while the country marvelled and (as I did) moaned about Luhrman’s Australia, I pointed you, instead, toward a little Aussie documentary, Rock’N'Roll Nerd. It tells the rags to semi-riches story of comedian, Tim Minchin, with filming beginning before anyone really knew if he would make it, or not. Of course, we all know he did. But what a wonderful portrait of the struggling bohemian (beyond whether you like Minchin’s work, or not) this is! And with such a limited cinema release, I thought I’d point you all to the national DVD release (in stores, May 6th).
